Join Hillel Guelph (located in Guelph, ON) and Hillel McMaster (located in Hamilton, ON) as the Senior Jewish Educator (SJE) to help enrich the lives of Jewish students and shape the future of Jewish life on campus. As an authentic Jewish teacher, you will provide leadership for the Hillel community through grassroots community organizing, spiritual connection, and community engagement. As the Senior Jewish Educator, you will develop and maintain relationships with students less engaged with Jewish life and will increase the level of involvement and commitment of students in all aspects of Jewish life on campus. Given the multi-campus nature of the position, you’d be free to choose between living in either Guelph or Hamilton.
The Springboard Fellowship is a paid, two-year fellowship that brings recent college grads with raw talent, passion, and skills to college campuses across North America to reimagine and redesign Jewish student life. Hillel Ontario’s inaugural dedicated and creative Director of Marketing and Communications has strong written and verbal communication skills, advanced graphic design capabilities and savvy technical abilities. They will develop and execute a comprehensive and integrated marketing and communications strategy that meets the strategic objectives of Hillel Ontario. Our ideal leader is someone who provides creative leadership, understands all aspects of marketing, target audience demographics, digital media, and can contribute to developing and managing brand strategies. We are seeking a candidate who will be proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Final Cut, etc) and eager to learn new skills as they relate to Hillel’s CRM and email management systems.
Senior Creative Strategist
The Senior Creative Strategist is a dynamic individual who is a graphic designer by profession, with 2-4 years of professional experience. They will have a natural aptitude for strategic thinking, problem solving, and be able to successfully manage the planning and execution of complex projects with multiple pieces, on time and on budget. Successful applicants will be proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Final Cut, etc) and eager to learn new skills as they relate to Hillel’s CRM and email management systems. The Senior Creative Strategist will be able to provide artistic guidance to their colleagues and manage up, across and down in a professional manner through their excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow-up in a timely and self-directed manner and by working collaboratively in being open to feedback and direction.
The Manager, Community Philanthropy plays a key role in the creation and implementation of community giving strategies on Hillel Ontario’s Development team. They are a self-starter who is detail-oriented and dedicated to creating connections with current and future donors and volunteers. The Manager, Community Philanthropy’s primary responsibility is to increase donations under $500 with a focus on donor relations, through a combination of direct mail, physical and digital acquisition strategies, prospect research, alumni giving, data management and segmentation and email solicitations. The Manager, Community Philanthropy is a highly organized, personable professional who understands the philanthropic landscape and the importance of donor stewardship, external relations and delivering on challenging revenue targets. The Manager, Community Philanthropy will be motivated to drive the Development Strategy, understands the realities of today’s fundraising climate, and is passionate about strengthening the Jewish community.
The Advocacy Coordinator is an integral part of Hillel Waterloo whose primary focus is on the advocacy initiatives of Hillel’s student leaders. The Advocacy Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing Hillel Ontario's advocacy strategy on a local campus level and will play an integral role in managing, both proactively and reactively, advocacy-related issues on campus. The Advocacy Coordinator will cultivate relationships with Jewish and non-Jewish student leadership in pursuit of Hillel’s advocacy objectives.
